The Art of Training Your Dog Workshop with the Monks of New Skete and Marc Goldberg
June 17 to 21, 2025
Five Full Days
June 17 to 21, 2025
Our methodology with the E collar is unique and different… Starting from the moment you put the collar on. We introduce it differently and in an organic way to create very rapid buy-in from the dog. Not only is it gentle, but it leads to off-leash reliability in a matter of days in many cases.
Appropriate for dog owners and dog trainers.

PREREQUISITES
Experience: All attendees must be over the age of 18. While dog training experience is not necessary, you should take into consideration that multiple dogs will be present throughout the program and that you need to feel comfortable around them.
Physical: New Skete Monastery is located in the northeastern part of New York State on Two Top Mountain.
Many of the sessions will include working in the outdoors. Pack walks are on the mountain road with areas of incline. You should be prepared for the possibility of rain and bugs.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW IF I BRING A DOG?
You may bring only one dog. For trainers, you may want to bring a client's dog to offset the cost of the workshop.
Dogs must be reasonably people and dog-friendly. Dogs that prove aggressive at the workshop may be prohibited from the property. If applying to attend with a dog, an application for the dog will be sent separately.
The dog will be screened by the brothers and Marc before being approved to attend.
If your dog is approved for attendance, you must provide proof of current vaccinations and a clean fecal exam completed within 28 days prior to arrival.
If approved you and you alone are responsible for your dog's care and supervision.
You may bring a crate for your dog.
If you register to handle dogs but are not bringing a dog, you will be working with dogs that are in the New Skete training program and/or New Skete German Shepherds.
